New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 showcased exclusive designs and uncovered trends for the upcoming season. I analyzed the shows and discovered similarities that indicate the new styles that retailers, influencers, and shoppers will look to for what’s popular. Take a look at what I found!
I was interested to see this lime/neon green all over fashion week as neon yellow was the color of the year for 2021. Seemed a little soon for this to already be emerging, but I love the trend and think it’s a great way to add a pop of color to any outfit. These looks show it styled with neutrals as a way to let the color speak for itself.
On runways there normally are some extreme styles, which in most years, include nudity. I found that at this fashion week it was shown in mesh see-through tops without undergarments. This form of “free the nip” has been popularized at festivals like Coachella and now is getting its resurgence in ready-to-wear.
Looks like gold is out for Spring/Summer 2023. All over the runway was silver in various forms. From metallic fabric, to silver hardware and jewelry… there was a lot of shine bringing out this fun trend!
I loved all of these last looks, but when it came down to it, I found the Sandy Liang show to be my favorite! Seeing all the content that came from this September’s Fashion Week was amazing. This can be attributed to all the influencers that took on the runways from a new lens. Here are some of the best influencer looks that I saw and if you haven't already, you should follow them!
